All of our programs utilize the benefits of granular materials.

The fertilizer is dry and in a tiny pellet form.  The nutrients cannot be washed away by rain, unlike most liquids applications.

The granules cannot be mowed away because they immediately fall to the soil surface rather then sticking to the grass blades.

Granules eliminate the wind drift problems associated with liquids.

Granules release the nitrogen slowly, allowing your lawn to grow thicker and greener.

Liquids, on the other hand, deliver quick blasts that make your lawn grow faster and longer, keeping you behind the lawnmower and maintaining your yard more frequently.

Fertilizers typically provide, in varying proportions, three major plant nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium).  Plants use nitrogen for leaf production, phosphorus for root and flower production, and potassium for flower production and general vigor.

For the lawn:
Fertilizers are literally plant food additives. Very few soils are fertile enough to supply the nutrients which healthy plants need. The soil in most areas has become so depleted over the years that fertilizers and other additives must be applied.  Soil color is deceiving, and it does not indicate the fertility. The darkest soil may be the poorest in nutrients.  While grasses will survive without fertilization, they will not do so and look and perform to the standards we set for them today.  A healthy, green, lush lawn is generally a result of a correct fertilization program.

For the landscape flower beds:
In today’s fast paced lifestyle, weed pre-emergent for your landscape beds is an essential service.  Just one application in the spring will save you countless hours of tedious hand weeding throughout the growing season.  Basile Landscaping & Lawncare uses Woodace Flowering 14-14-14 for landscape beds.  This fertilizer replaces the nitrogen that wood mulch products actually leach out of the soil.  It is a unique homogeneous fertilizer with IBDU® and methylene urea nitrogen for a slow, reliable release pattern under a wide range of soil and environmental conditions. The 1:1:1 nutrient ratio and micro package make this an ideal product for establishing new flowers, perennials, and turf. It is also ideal for post bloom fertilization of ornamentals.
